Hey everyone! My name's Bryan Lillis and I'm the founder of Celtic Photography. I figured if you're going to work with me, you probably want to know my background right? Ok, quickly here we go!
I first started acting and modeling in 2006 in New York City traveling back and forth from my hometown in Buffalo, NY. Eventually, I decided it was time to try Los Angeles so I made the move in 2007. What a journey its been. I've been blessed with great mentors, teachers, and leaders through my time in LA. I love both being in front of the camera and behind it. I definitely consider myself a sponge with EVERY set I'm on, learning the good and the bad, taking in the positives and negatives of everything. With that said, I love making great photos and film that we can all be proud of.
Personally, I'm kind of a homebody when in town. I love cooking and traveling to new places. I'm a huge hockey and football fan. (Go Sabres and Bills) I'm also happily married to my wife and have two dogs. (Dexter, an overly affectionate golden retriever and Beans, a very cool/territorial rescue chihuahua.)
HOW I SHOOT:
My goal is for my clients to look how they would look on their very best day in their photos. For both headshots and PR photos, I am a huge fan of both studio and natural light. I do believe that in the world of social media today with all of the lights and filters that people use on their photos, things tend to get too manipulated. That, I'm not a fan of. I believe people are beautiful and uniquely different in every way. I want to capture the best version of your natural self!
CREDITS/WORK - WHY SHOOT WITH ME:
I've been very blessed to have travelled and worked in some cool places. As far as my modeling work goes and the information I've absorbed in that world, I've had the pleasure of working in front of the camera with some of the most prolific minds in that industry including Bruce Weber, Matthew Rolston, Yu Tsai and Deborah Anderson. I've worked for numerous clients and shot campaigns such as Abercrombie and Fitch, Coca-Cola, Yves Saint Laurent, Macy's, AT&T, Target, Lucky Brand, Paige Denim, AG Denim and Next Clothing Brand London. I've done numerous editorials including GQ Magazine, Elle Magazine and Cosmopolitan Magazine. I've walked the runway for clients like Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Levi's, Tallia Orange, American Rag and Macy's. I've gotten to travel and shoot for clients all over the world including all over North America, South America, Asia and Europe. Through all of this, I've taken the knowledge from each set I've been on and applied it with the way I shoot.
In the acting world, I've had the pleasure of shooting numerous television series and films in front of the camera including shows like Modern Family, Fam, Big Time Rush, Pink Collar Crimes, State of Georgia and The Suite Life on Deck. I've done leads in Lifetime Films including Her Worst Nightmare and The Detective. Also, in the feature world I've gotten to work on projects including A Warrior's Heart opposite Kellan Lutz and Riddle opposite Val Kilmer.
I've been fortunate to work with some amazing commercial directors in front of the camera as well shooting multiple national commercials with clients like Verizon, Target opposite Taylor Swift, JCPenny, Kmart, Lucky Charms, Fruit of the Loom and Kybella.
In the producing world I've had the pleasure to produce multiple award-winning and award nominated short films, music videos and television pilots.
My goal, with all the knowledge I've taken with all of these amazing people is to apply it to our shoot together. Again, collaboration to me is key. I believe that in acting/modeling, your team is your most important asset. Everyone working together with one common goal is best for everyone. I believe in us all coming together to come up with what's going to help YOU, the ARTIST, get in the room and WORK! That's what matters. At the end of the day, we're here to be working actors/models right? So, perhaps I'm able to share some insight/tips from what I've learned in front of the camera and together we can create an awesome shoot together.
